informative. Maybe even better than the black & white newsletter mailed
every other month. Please feel free to contact the lodge with any

Summer is over...and we’re welcoming back some weekly
events. Cornhole practice resumes on Mondays at 6pm, starting
September 30... Also serving tacos! We’re following that up with
a tournament Oct 18 & 19. Check out the info on page 1.
Prime Rib is back Oct 4, and along with that is our semi-
annual Dessert Auction. This helps us get the property taxes
paid, which are around $5000 yearly now. Dessert donations
are also welcome and much appreciated!
Personal calendar conflicts have kept me from doing Steak
Night on the 3rd Friday of the month so far, but I’ll be starting that
back up in November.
Also in November...Sunday Bingo! Starts at 11:00 am, and
will feature a new game (3 card bingo). The kitchen will also be
open for brunch!
Another yearly event coming up in November...our Veteran’s
Day Dinner & Dance. That’ll be on November 9, and will include
dinner and live music.
I’ve put some flyers in the lodge to try to help explain what’s
gone on with the Women of the Moose Chapter. In case you
haven’t heard, Cowlitz Valley Chapter 541 has closed. This
means all women members in good standing have been
transferred to Allheart Chapter 3000 in Illinois. All membership
rights and privileges remain the same. Dues are actually $5 per
year cheaper, and can still be paid online, or here at the lodge.
For women wanting to join the moose...that can be done online
(mooseintl.org), or membership applications can still be turned in
at the lodge. Chapter membership can either be done at Allheart
3000, or any other chapter. New membership cards have begun
arriving in the mail from the Allheart Chapter. If you don’t receive
one, please contact the lodge, and we’ll get one coming to you.
Lastly this has nothing to do with male members (LOOM), or the
lodge in general. We’re still here, the lodge is still open, and we’
re doing our best to keep it that way. Please contact me with any
questions or concerns.
See you here…
