I hope you all are having a wonderful Summer. We’re
getting back to our regular groove here at the lodge. Some really
fun events coming up in the next few months!
First...Friday dining returns! New York Steak comes back
September 21, and Prime Rib returns October 5th.
The annual “Moose on the Loose” Golf Scramble is set for
September 22. This is always a great time, and this year they’re
doing a 1:00 pm shotgun start! There’s still time to get your entry
form in. You can get one at the lodge, or download one from our
Another event that always coincides with the return of Prime
Rib...Dessert Auction. October 5, we’ll be auctioning off some
delicious desserts! Proceeds go to help pay our property taxes
(which are going up...again). Dessert donations are also
The Cabaret Follies of Lower Columbia is putting on an
Oktoberfest on the 13th of Oktober. This is a fund raising event
for Hospice. There’ll be a huge dinner, live music, and German
type beverages available. Check out the ad elsewhere in this
Roof Report...The roof fund has stalled around $16K. We’
ve applied for a grant from Moose International to cover the
balance of the cost. We won’t find out anything on that until later
in the year though. So, we’ll be patching what we can before the
rains set in, and wait to see if we get awarded the grant. Keep
all your fingers crossed!
I would like to thank all those who helped with the Unique
Tin Car Show burger stand. This is a huge amount of planning
and work each year, and generates some much needed funds.
A couple future events you may want to mark your calendars
for… November 10 is our annual Veteran’s Day Dinner &
Dance. Veterans eat free! Plus a live band featuring Elvis!
Also...November 24 is our Hoiday Bazaar. I’ll have more on
these in the next newsletter.
Do you have email and/or Facebook? If so, are you getting
the weekly emails and daily Facebook posts? Both are good
ways to keep up on what’s going at the lodge. And soon, it may
be the only way to do it. We’ve whittled the snail mailing list
down a lot. We’re almost to the point where we can no longer
use bulk mail. When that happens, we’ll probably quit using snail
mail for the newsletter, and just email them. They’ll always be
some available at the lodge as well. So, if you haven’t gotten us
your email, please sent it to me at firstname.lastname@example.org. ,
or you can also drop it by the lodge.
See you here…
